Finally, we get a comprehensive assessment of the red card, not-called offsides, and ridiculous decision not to VAR what happened. Who in authority will explain not showing a replay at the stadium? Absurd!

For me, LAFC's decision to make high-volume fouling central to their match tactics amounts to chicken-sh*t soccer. It ruins the game.

Great comment on LAFC's 'tactical' play. It was cynical, fully to the degree of the NBA's 'Hack a Shak' years...

Wonder if they had some prior experiences with that ref's carding habits?

Are we still all Crepau fans? I didn't trust him one bit. If he'd stayed in the box for that play it's not a red card, it's a keeper doing keeper things. Horribly poor judgment, and not the first time he's shown it.

yes, I'd have to agree that even if they score on that, at least we still have a full squad. And then it's a question of what happened on the back line. I also wonder if we are playing a high line how high Crepeau should be playing. I actually think Pantemis will do pretty well. He came in at a tough spot and performed really well. That guy has a wingspan, and I actually like his distribution, especially when he has a full 10 on the field.

I was with you all the way, Left 49, until the "liking his distribution" part. He put 3 or 4 in the seats with no pressure on him Saturday.

While he is a better distributor then our past 2 GKs, that's a REAL low bar.

What do you mean no pressure? LAFC were gunning for the winner the whole second half and you have to admit that Pantemis didn't have a whole squad out there to find. I've seen him distribute in his other games, and he actually is really good. 88 percent on 23 passes completed v Philly, and 60 percent on 19 completed v Colorado. He's got a good boot.

They didn't bring pressure all the time, Left49 - and he still sent too many OB... You're right that he has been pretty good, and it was disappointing to see so many go awry on Sat...

OK, granted, but still the second half was hang on for dear life and not a true gauge, all things being equal. I kinda gave up thinking we might pull off a miracle win and was hoping for a result.
