I've not been shy about not being a Crepau fan, but some more performances like last night, and he may make me a believer.

Last night my wife and I saw Clint Black, it was a wonderful show and we were grinning ear-to-ear through the show and the trip home. Because of that I missed the first 20 minutes, but I continued grinning ear-to-ear watching the Timbers' performance.

What a fun game to watch.

My take? Pantemis has been a better shot blocker, and Crepeau a better ball distributor. But Crepeau's two lightning-quick blocks early in the match and his distribution make him the starter going forward. But no worries from me if Pantemis steps in as needed.

I also believe that Pantemis has a better rapport with the back line. At least that's how I feel when I watch them interacting.

That said, if Crepau keeps going like he did last night, he'll win me over.

Will watch for the rapport you mention.

Definitely was man of the match for the saves and distribution. Terrific performance. I've been critical of him, too, but he showed why he is a top keeper.

Phil's comment about not a complete performance is right on from the sense of keeping the team charged up and primed for what is to come. Any bit of complacency could be detrimental. If there weren't any depth, that sort of mindset and work rate might not be sustainable. Given the state of the roster, we have a team capable of doing big things this year.
